Short description of the course offer scheme

The course will be offered in the form of three modules. Graduate students will follow the following academic path:

I) COMMON CORE MODULE - MNC :

The master's student must take the two (02) disciplines indicated in this module, as well as the two (02) Interdisciplinary Research Seminars:

MNC 1 - Sustainable Development and the Amazon Context (3cr / 45h);

MNC 2 - Territories, Environment and Health (3cr / 45h);

MNC 3 - Interdisciplinary Research Seminar I (3cr / 45h);

MNC 4 - Interdisciplinary Research Seminar II (3cr / 45h).

Total = 12cr / 180H

II) THEMATIC MODULE - MT:

The master's student must take two (02) elective courses from among the eighteen (18) offered, one (01) course must be taken in its own line, and one (01) between the course's subjects, arranged in the two lines of research. do MT, or in graduate programs at UFOPA, or other HEIs, recommended by CAPES. As for the disciplines and the two lines of research in this module, the matrix is organized:

Research Line 1: PUBLIC POLICIES, CULTURAL DIVERSITY AND AMAZON DEVELOPMENT

MT / A1 - Dynamics of Agriculture, Environment and Development (3cr / 45h);

MT / A2 - Education, Technologies and Amazonian Development (3cr / 45h);

MT / A3 - Introduction to Environmental Sociology (3cr / 45h);

MT / A4 - Sustainable Tropical Agroecosystems (3cr / 45h);

MT / A5 - Cultures and Identities in the Amazon: Memory and Society (3cr / 45h);

MT / A6 - Environmental Education in the Amazon (3cr / 45h);

MT / A7 - Special Topics in Chemical Contaminants in the Environment and Development (3cr / 45h);

MT / A8 - Environmental Damage (3cr / 45h);

MT / A9 - Quality of Life and Subjective Well-Being (3cr / 45h).

Research Line 2: BIODIVERSITY, HEALTH AND SUSTAINABILITY:

MT / B1 - Biodiversity and Concepts (3cr / 45h);

MT / B2 - Healthy Eating in Contemporary Society (3cr / 45h);

MT / B3 - Environmental Services (3cr / 45h);

MT / B4 - Natural Resource Management (3cr / 45h);

MT / B5 - Territories, Populations and Protected Areas in the Amazon (3cr / 45h);

MT / B6 - Bioprospecting and Intellectual Property in the Amazon (3cr / 45h);

MT / B7 - Environment, Health and Sustainability (3cr / 45h);

MT / B8 - Special Topics in Environmental Sciences and Health (3cr / 45h);

MT / B9 - Toxicological Aspects of Environmental and Occupational Exposure to Chemical Agents (3cr / 45h).

Minimum Total: 6cr / 90h

III) TEACHER TRAINING MODULE (MFD):

It is mandatory and has the specific purpose of contemplating, in a vigorous and rigorous manner, the qualified professional training of the Higher Education teacher, through the Integralizing Activities, constituted by Thematic Seminars and Practical Activities that aim to discuss and experience the theory-practice relationship in the daily life of the students. pedagogical practices, in an interdisciplinary perspective. The Module is organized as follows:

Block A: UNIVERSITY TEACHING (Thematic seminars - Practical activities)

MFD / A1 - Teacher in Higher Education: Life, Profile and Training (2cr / 30h);

MFD / A1 - Interdisciplinary Pedagogical Practices (2cr / 30h);

Block B: UNIVERSITY EXTENSION (Thematic seminars - Practical activities)

MFD / B1 - University, Society and Sustainability (1cr / 15h);

MFD / B2 - Interdisciplinary Social Intervention Projects (1cr / 15h);

BLOCK C: ACADEMIC PRODUCTION (Thematic seminars and practical activities)

MFD / C1 - State of the Art of Research in the Amazon (1cr / 15h);

MFD / C2 - Oral and Written Communication of Academic Scientific Production (1cr / 15h).

Total: 8cr / 120h

The curricular structure of PPGISAQ ends with the Oriented Activities, which aim at the preparation, qualification and defense of the Master's Dissertation, duly guided according to the Rules of Procedure

of this Course.

Dissertation (8cr / 120h).

Total Credit / Credit Hours offered in the course: 34cr / 510h .
