NOTICE No. 001/2020 PPGSAQ / UFOPA


SPECIAL SELECTION PROCESS

In view of the exceptional situation and following the recommendations of Normative Instruction No. 19, of March 12, 2020, of the Ministry of Economy, which, in relation to events and meetings, provides in its Article 5 the suspension of events and meetings with high number of participants while the state of public health emergency of international importance resulting from the coronavirus persists (COVID 19). (Wording given by Normative Instruction No. 2, of 2020), in its §1º In the event of the caput, the body or entity will evaluate the possibility of holding the event or meeting through videoconference or other electronic means. (Included by Normative Instruction No. 21, 2020).

In order to maintain the continuity of the regular Selection Process of the Program, the coordination of the Postgraduate Program in Society, Environment and Quality of Life (PPGSAQ / CFI / UFOPA) and its Selection Process Commission establish and make public the rules of the selection process, in special character to fill vacancies in the Postgraduate Program in Society, Environment and Quality of Life, at the master's level, for the academic year 2020. The special aspect of the selection process is connected to the fact that the entire selection process will take place in a virtual manner without distancing itself from the level of demand and equality that it certainly requires and maintains.


1. General information


1.1 In the PPGSAQ, annual student tickets are foreseen, with the opening of a public notice for admission of 20 20 in line with the 2020 Graduate Academic Calendar and in accordance with the Pedagogical Project and the Course Regulations, which justifies the opening of this course. notice.

1.2 Considering the COVID 19 World Pandemic, in 2020 the Selection Process for entry into the Postgraduate Course in Society, Environment and Quality of Life at Ufopa will be done in a special way, with simplification of the evaluation phases and remotely (virtual).


1.3 The Postgraduate Program in Society, Environment and Quality of Life, recommended by CAPES, has an area of ​​INTERDISCIPLINARY concentration, with two lines of research: 1. Public Policies, Diversity and Amazonian Development and
2. Biodiversity, Health and sustainability. The course is characterized by the plurality of theoretical and methodological approaches aimed at training researchers capable of investigating, reflecting and managing the complexities, challenges and conflicts related to
mediations being human nature, under the aegis of sustainability, environmental health and quality of life.

Line 1: Public Policies, Diversity and Amazonian Development - Conducts interdisciplinary studies and research with an emphasis on Amazonian realities and diversities with regard to: a) Investigations on public policies and forms of social organization aimed at regional development; b) Analysis of public policies with an emphasis on education, health and the environment, underlying the planning, financing, evaluation and management of systems, as well as the training of human resources; c) Research on knowledge systems, heritage of culture and history, nature, memory, territory, its relationship with environmental education and regional development.


Line 2: Biodiversity, Health and Sustainability - Conducts interdisciplinary studies and research on the structure, ecological processes and dynamics of natural and / or anthropized ecosystems that refer to: a) Investigating the impacts of activities
human rights on biodiversity, environmental services, resilience of ecosystems and / or health and their relationship with quality of life; b) Research on the relationship between environmental knowledge, issues of social organization and governance; c) Analysis of the interrelationships between the community and the natural environment through the sustainable use / management of natural resources from an ecological and socioeconomic point of view.

2. Vacancies
2.1 25 vacancies will be offered, distributed among the permanent professors and collaborators of the Program, it is not mandatory to fill the total of these vacancies


2.1.1 Candidates will not be able to nominate their parents, who are their husband, wife or partners in a stable relationship; relatives or similar to the third degree; or brothers-in-law, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law or in-laws.


2.2. Candidates of the Broad Competition compete only for the vacancies offered by the advisor they indicate at the time of registration.


2.3 Of the total vacancies offered, 03 (three) will be reserved for competition between servers (Quota of Servers) of the permanent staff of Ufopa, stable, in exercise, according to Resolution No. 171/2016, of November 30, 2016, of Consepe / UFOPA.


2.3.1 When registering for the selection process, the candidate must state whether he / she wishes to run as an employee of the institution.

2.3.2 Stands reserved for Ufopa's permanent permanent staff, in exercise, will be filled according to the decreasing order of classification among them, according to Item 2.5 of this notice

2.3.3 In the event of non-filling of the vacancies reserved for the servers, these will be reallocated to the Wide Competition, obeying the decreasing order of classification.

2.3.4 Candidates who register as permanent employees of Ufopa, who are stable, in exercise and present supporting documentation (Functional statement extracted from SIGRH / Ufopa) will be able to compete for the 03 (three) vacancies reserved for Server Quotas.


2.3.5 Candidates for Server Quotas (CS) classified within the number of vacancies offered for Wide Competition will not be counted for the purpose of filling the vacancies reserved for Server Quotas (CS).

2.3.6 In the event of failure to present the document proving an effective link with Ufopa, the candidate will compete exclusively for the vacancies destined to the Broad Competition.


2.4 Of the total vacancies offered, 05 (five) will be reserved for black, brown, indigenous, quilombola and people with disabilities candidates, according to Resolution nº 314/2019, of December 23, 2019, of Consepe / UFOPA, being called vacancies
Affirmative Action (AF) AF).


2.4.1 For the purposes of this Notice, blacks, browns and indigenous people are considered to be candidates who declare themselves as such in a document filled out at the time of registration, in accordance with the requirements relevant to color, race and ethnicity, used by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).


2.4.2 A person with a disability (PwD) is considered to be one who has a long-term impairment of a physical, mental, intellectual or sensory nature, who, in interaction with one or more barriers, may obstruct their full and effective participation in the society in question. equal conditions with other people, in which the disability falls into the categories indicated in article 4 of Decree No. 3,298 / 19 99 and its amendments


2.4.3 Black, brown, indigenous, quilombola and people with disabilities candidates will compete concurrently for reserved vacancies (affirmative action AF) and vacancies for wide competition (AC), according to their classification in this selection process, as per Item 5 of this announcement


2.4.4 Black, brown, indigenous, quilombola and disabled people classified within the number of vacancies offered for wide competition will not be counted for the purpose of filling the reserved vacancies.


2.4.5 In case of abandonment of black, brown, indigenous, quilombola and disabled people approved in a reserved spot, the vacancy will be filled by the black, brown, indigenous, quilombola or disabled person subsequently classified.


2.4.6 In the event that there are no black, mixed race, indigenous, quilombola and disabled people approved in sufficient numbers to occupy the reserved places, the remaining places will be reverted to the Wide Competition, being
filled out by the other approved candidates, in accordance with the ranking order.

2.4.7 The Affirmative Action vacancies will be distributed by Line of Research, with 02 (two) vacancies to Line 01 and 03 (three) to Line 02, and the candidate's research project must be aligned with areas of interest of some teacher ( item 2.8).
